THE 23rd ANNUAL TASTE OF OVIEDO IS THIS SATURDAY

Oviedo, Fla. (March, 6, 2017) – This Saturday, the 23rd Annual Taste of Oviedo, presented by Air Flow Designs Heating and Air Conditioning, is held at Oviedo Mall. The very popular, community festival will have food, live music, Citrus and Celery food competition, arts, crafts, local businesses and more from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Taste of Oviedo is budget-friendly with free admission, plenty of free parking, food samples $3 – $6 and unlimited kids rides wristbands from $5 – $10.

CITRUS AND CELERY INCREASES AWARD MONEY AT TASTE OF OVIEDO

Oviedo, Fla. (January 26, 2017) – The Citrus & Celery Cook-off Competition, a signature event held annually at Taste of Oviedo, will be increasing its award values this year.  Now, the Grand Prize Winner will walk away with a check for $500. The 23rd Annual Taste of Oviedo, presented by Air Flow Designs Heating and Air Conditioning, is held on Saturday, March 11, at Oviedo Mall from 10 am – 6 pm.

The Citrus & Celery Cook-Off, produced by The Oviedo Preservation Project and sponsored by Duda Farm Fresh Foods, has been a staple at Taste since 1995. This year, the prize money has increased to three $250 cash prize awards and one $500 Duda Award of Distinction.  The cook-off is open to all ages and experience levels of home cook with a separate contest for professional chefs and restaurants. The event includes preparation and serving of dishes created with either citrus or celery as an ingredient.  There are four categories in which to compete in the Citrus and Celery Cook-Off:

Starters & Sides
Main course
Dessert
Beverages

The Citrus & Celery Cook-Off is a great way for foodies to show off their creative culinary skills with citrus and celery and win cash prizes. Only 28 registrations are accepted, 7 per division.
